Inside a container which houses a wastewater treatment system. These container water systems are great because they are so easy to transport.

The Problem

The vineyard needed to install a wastewater treatment system to reduce the BOD/TSS from the wine processing waste and use the system effluent for vine irrigation.

The Solution

bioprocessH2O supplied a bioPULSE™ Airlift Containerized Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) incorporating an energy efficient airlift external tubular and backwashable membrane that significantly reduces power consumption. The permeate from the membrane process is UV disinfected and being used to irrigate the vines.

The Results

The bioPULSE™ MBR has proven effective at reducing the BOD, COD, and TSS from the vineyard’s wastewater.
